IA Engineer Sr

CFOTech is looking for a Senior AI Engineer with advanced English skills to join an important client specializing in software and product development.

The primary goal of this role is to bridge AI innovation with software engineering excellence by deploying LLMs, AI agents, and intelligent systems into full-stack products and production infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement LLM-based solutions (e.g., RAG systems, multi-agent tools, AI copilots).
  • Fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy both open-source and proprietary foundation models.
  • Develop end-to-end AI-powered features in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Build scalable APIs and services to expose AI capabilities to frontend and mobile applications.
  • Manage the lifecycle of AI features, from experimentation to deployment and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for AI services.
  • Implement observability, error tracking, and performance monitoring for deployed AI features.
  • Evaluate and experiment with AI frameworks and libraries such as LangChain, Transformers, OpenAI SDK, and others.
  • Lead technical discussions and mentor team members on AI architecture and best practices.
  • Identify AI-driven product opportunities by working closely with clients and internal teams.


Requisitos mínimos

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in AI/Machine Learning roles within commercial software products.
  • Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, open-source models) and agent frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGPT, etc.
  • Strong expertise in data engineering, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.), and embedding strategies.
  • Experience testing AI systems using tools such as Promptfoo, Giskard, or similar.
  • Strong Python skills, including experience building APIs with FastAPI, Django, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience working in production cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and with tools such as Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong software engineering practices, including testing, code reviews, version control (Git), and modular software design.
  • Experience deploying and monitoring AI systems in production environments.
  • Knowledge of MLOps and model deployment workflows is considered a strong plus.

Employment Details

  • Contract Type: Independent Contractor (USD payment).
  • Working Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
  • Location: 100% remote from Argentina, Uruguay, or Colombia.
